s-CRY-ed

I was surprised – a standard sci-fi fighting anime that’s actually pretty good. Yes, various teenagers face off using various magic powers, but the characters are interesting and well developed, and you really end up caring about some of them. There’s a cute little girl who you DON’T want to strangle, a conflicted bishonen enemy who DOESN’T seem largely motivated by stupidity, and fights that DON’T seem to go on for ever. Win win win.
